Sina joined SiLaw Group as an Associate Counsel in June 2023 after completing his articling term at the firm.

Sina’s practice is primarily family law, where he uses a client-centric approach to hone in on key issues and advocate for clients both in and out of the courtroom.

Sina's training in trauma-informed practice allows him to appreciate the complex legal and non-legal impacts that separation can have on families. Although Sina is a firm believer in negotiation and alternative dispute resolution when appropriate, Sina's litigation skills assist clients with achieving results through the court system.

Sina has appeared in the Provincial Court of Alberta, the Provincial Court of BC, and the Supreme Court of BC.

Sina received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Alberta Faculty of Law in 2021. During his time in law school, he was a caseworker for Student Legal Services and a member of Law Students for Human Rights and the Law and Business Association.

Before joining SiLaw Group, Sina interned with Global Affairs Canada through the Canadian Bar Association’s Young Lawyers International Program (YLIP). Prior to law school, he graduated with distinction from Capilano University with a Bachelor of Business Administration.

In his free time, Sina enjoys spending time with his family, in nature, and training in martial arts. Sina is fluent in English and conversational in Persian/Farsi.
